NAMI Wake County

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization.  NAMI Wake County is an affiliate of NAMI and NAMI NC. NAMI Wake County provides free education, support and advocacy for individuals affected by mental illness.

What We Do

• We educate. Our education programs ensure Wake County families and individuals get the support and information they need.
• We advocate. NAMI Wake County shapes the public policy landscape for people with mental illness.
• We listen. Our NAMI HelpLine and peer led support groups allow us to provide free referral, information and support--a much-needed lifeline for many.
• We lead. Public awareness events, including the NAMI Wake Celebration of Courage, NAMI Walks and other efforts, sucessfully combat stigma and encourage understanding.
