About Us

The Arc of the Triangle partners with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families to help them achieve their life goals. The Arc offers a myriad of programs:

  • Information and Resources: Advocacy, information, and referral services for individuals and/or families who need assistance in negotiating the often complex system of services.
  • Individual Services: NC Innovations Waiver is a funding source for qualified individuals with I/DD.  Support Professionals funded through the waiver are trained through The Arc of the Triangle to teach independence and provide support in the home and community for children and adults with I/DD.  Individuals with the Innovations Waiver can receive an array of services including:  Alternative Family living (AFL), In-Home Skill Building, Personal Care, Respite, Supported Employment, and Supportive Living.
  • B3 Services:  Individuals with Medicaid can qualify for the following B3 services:  B3 Respite, B3 Supported Employment, and  B3 Community Guide.
  • Community Services: The M’n’M Singers and Grace Notes, 2 choirs of adults with developmental disabilities; Community Connections, matching a volunteer with an adult with I/DD for recreational and social activities; Supported Retirement, enhancing the lives of seniors with I/DD through activities and community participation; Triangle Self Advocacy Network (TSAN), a self-advocacy group for adults with I/DD; and Family Fun Night, a partnership with Marbles Kids Museum to offer the museum to children with special needs and their families.
